hmm..
i personally don't like banners with too much going on in the back. the image seems to have bad image quality & i think the font interferes with the background too much. they clash. try saving as a PNG versus a JPEG to retain quality. :)

well all i did was google "backgrounds" or something like that to get a background. & then i saved it & followed my tut ):
